Creative Arts Contest

2010 Creative Arts Results

The North Texas State Fair and Rodeo Creative Arts Contest has seven divisions and is open to anyone living in the State of Texas. The entry fee is $2 per item or $1 per item for children.

DIVISION A - Needlework

a. Soiled or unfinished articles will not be accepted.
b. All imported handwork is prohibited.
c. Articles that have been shown in previous fairs cannot be entered.
d. Articles must be hand made.
e. Articles must have been completed this year.
f. Kits are permissible.

DIVISON D - Home Canned Food

a. All jars must be filled up to the first rim under the lid. No jars with rusty rings or lids will be accepted. NO paraffin on Preserves, Jams, Marmalades, Butters or Jellies.
b. Vegetables and Fruits canned in 1 Pint Standard Jars with rings and lid covers. Only one jar is needed in these categories as it is judged on color, appearance, pack and liquid.
c. Preserves, Marmalades, Butters, Jams, and Jelly canned in ½ Pint Standard Jars with ring and lid cover. Two like jars of each entry will be needed. One jar will be emptied for judging and the other will remain sealed for exhibit.
d. Relish and Pickles canned in 1 Pint Standard Jars with ring and lid covers. Two like jars or each entry will be needed. One jar will be emptied for judging and the other will remain sealed for exhibit.
